Sandra Bunting

Sandra Bunting studied and worked in communications (radio, television, print media, PR) in Toronto before travelling and living in France and Spain . 

She has taught poetry at the National University of Ireland in Galway and set up the Academic Writing Centre there. She was a 2012 recipient of the Glenna Luschei award for poetry from University of Nebraska’s Prairie Schooner. A poetry chapbook, Lake Of Shadows, was published by Mercutio Press, Montreal, followed by the collection Identified in Trees by Marram Press. She co-edited The Claddagh, Stories  from the Water’s Edge, published by The History Press in 2013.

She is currently Executive Director at Miramichi Regional Multicultural Association in Montreal, Canada. She is also a visual artist and has worked in silk painting, batik and print-making, with Lorg Printmakers, Galway.
